As a superior for the Lebanese and Maronite Mission in this beautiful and blessed country of South Africa I would like with full pleasure to welcome you to Miss Lebanon South Africa Pageant Ball 2025, where beauty is honored, identity is embraced, and dreams rise like stars. This unforgettable evening brings together culture, courage, and charisma, shining through the remarkable young women who stand before us — each one a reflection of Lebanese pride and South African spirit.
They are more than contestants. They are storytellers, leaders, and symbols of unity between two vibrant worlds. Through grace, intelligence, and purpose, they carry forward traditions while forging new paths. As you turn these pages, you’ll discover their journeys, their passions, their goals, their voices. Each one is a spark in a greater light, illuminating the richness of our community and the power of empowered women.
It has been an honor to witness the growth, confidence, and cultural pride that our contestants have shown throughout this journey. The Miss Lebanon South Africa Pageant is more than a stage — it is a platform for young women to find their voice, represent their roots, and shine with authenticity. Thank you to our community, our sponsors, judges and our dedicated team who made this evening possible. May we continue to uplift and celebrate our youth, and may this pageant forever be a bridge between generations, cultures, and dreams.
And to every guest here tonight — may you be inspired by their radiance, their resilience, and their courage to rise. Because tonight, we don’t just crown a queen… We honor the heart of a heritage and the brilliance of a new generation.
With God’s blessings,
Father Jean Yammine MLM

The Miss Lebanon SA 2025 variety show is far more than a traditional
beauty pageant—it's a captivating narrative that brings together 12
stunning finalists, each vying for the prestigious title while
embodying grace, intelligence, and cultural pride. At its core, this
event serves as a vibrant story celebrating the deep connections
between Lebanon and South Africa: two lands equally cherished by the
Lebanese diaspora. South Africa represents the welcoming home where
many have built their lives, while Lebanon stands as the eternal
source of heritage, traditions, and cultural identity. Through
meticulously planned scenes, the show weaves a tapestry of these
intertwined worlds, highlighting shared histories, values, and
aspirations.
The production unfolds as a heartfelt journey between the two
countries, with every element designed to showcase their talents
through electrifying live performances, music, and artistic
expressions. All performers on stage are of Lebanese descent, ensuring
an authentic representation that honors the community's roots. This
includes drawing from the best of the last 40 years of iconic
performances curated by the late Delores Basel, whose legacy infuses
the event with timeless elegance and inspiration before her recent
passing.
As a charity event benefiting the Maronite Church in South Africa—the
steadfast glue binding the Lebanese community together—the show
emphasizes unity, faith, and giving back. It's particularly dedicated
to Delores Basel, a visionary who, since organizing the first Miss
Lebanon pageants in the 1960s, directed and produced world-class
spectacles to spotlight Lebanese talents. Her unwavering commitment
was always offered as a selfless tribute to Our Lady Mother of God,
without any compensation, as a profound thank you to the community
that shaped her life.
The show opens with a poignant live performance centered on the theme
of "homeland," delivering a powerful message that our hearts forever
belong to our origins—no matter the physical distance. Homeland here
transcends geography: it could be the land that shelters us (like
South Africa), the cultural beacon that sustains our identity
(Lebanon), or the spiritual foundation that nourishes our relationship
with God. The accompanying song serves as a gentle reminder of our
fortune in embracing these multifaceted connections, setting an
emotional tone for the evening ahead.
Throughout the performance, the spotlight remains on the enduring bond
between Lebanon and South Africa, blending their cultural riches in a
two-hour spectacle of talent, tradition, and togetherness. This event
not only crowns a winner but also fosters a sense of belonging and
pride for all involved.
