I am Callista Kalil, 24 years old, and privileged to be a finalist in the Miss Lebanon South Africa pageant. Passionate about making a meaningful difference, I am currently pursuing my Master's degree as a Chemical Engineer with a focus on environmental sustainability, while also employed at Air Products South Africa. Strongly connected to my Kudsee and Kalil heritage, I strive to empower our youth and celebrate the richness of our culture. I believe in calm determination, kindness, and living with purpose. As Khalil Gibran so eloquently said, "Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart."
During school, I was honoured to serve as a Senior Prefect, a Student Representative Counsellor, and Captain of the House, Swimming, and Athletics teams. A passionate allrounder, I was awarded a Colours Blazer for full colours in swimming and half colours in leadership, netball, ambassadorial merit, and service. I found enjoyment in public speaking, piano, ballet, and completing over 300 hours of community service.
My Maronite faith remains central to who I am; I have served with dedication as an altar server, reader, youth committee member, and event contributor within our Church. I am deeply grateful to Jesus for His abundant blessings and to my family for their unwavering love. I will forever carry with me the steadfast encouragement of our community, which has been a Cornerstone of my journey. Thank you for your incredible support as I embrace this invaluable experience—not just as a celebration of identity, but as a platform for growth and service.
